Hemp has been central to Astral’s materials strategy for years, thanks to its remarkable sustainability credentials. Compared to cotton, hemp uses 79% less water and produces more than twice as much fibre while requiring minimal pesticides or fertilisers. Beyond its low impact, hemp also actively improves soil health and absorbs more carbon dioxide per acre than other commercial crops.
