New Marketing Director for Hyosung textiles business

At Hyosung, Simon will be responsible for expanding the marketing team and for the promotion of specialty Hyosung fibres and fabrics.

Simon Whitmarsh-Knight, EMEA Marketing Director, Textiles Business Unit. © Hyosung CorporationHyosung Corporation, a specialist in recycling nylon and polyester and a leading spandex producer, has appointed Simon Whitmarsh-Knight as an EMEA Marketing Director of its growing Textiles Business Unit.

According to the company, Mr Whitmarsh-Knight brings over 25 years of experience in B2B sales and marketing roles within the textiles, apparel and sporting goods industries, including waterproof, breathable membranes, Hackett menswear, sealskinz waterproof accessories, Mitre sports and Invista.

At Hyosung, Simon will be responsible for expanding the marketing team and for the promotion of specialty Hyosung fibres and fabrics, including creora spandex and Mipan nylon, to target retail and brand accounts. In his role, Mr Whitmarsh-Knight will manage joint development and promotional programmes with key industry partners, as well as working on vital industry topics, such as sustainable innovations.
