Cariaggi Fine Yarns Collection, a leading manufacturer of high-end knitwear yarns from the Marche region of Italy, reports that it closed 2013 with a turnover of Euros 102 million, a slight increase on 2012. The company is also planning significant investments in 2014.

This, the Cariaggi says, is a satisfactory result for a company whose leitmotif has been innovation for many years now, with significant resources invested in ensuring that the company is always improving and that every department is at the cutting edge. The company also anticipates an investment of around Euros 2.5 million in innovation in 2014.

The new proposals it creates for each season are a further example of this innovation and are the result of its constant research and development.

“We are especially satisfied with our growth abroad, which this year accounted for 38% of turnover, because our clients around the world recognise our talent for delivering the properties of a fibre that comes from far afield and the craftsmanship, creativity and quality that are typical of our country in one package,” commented Piergiorgio Cariaggi, Cariaggi Fine Yarns Collection CEO. “Many clients come to us in fact because they are guaranteed to get a product with a Made in Italy label”.

The countries in which Cariaggi showed best growth in 2013 compared to the previous year are France (+36%), UK (+30%), Germany (+29%) and China (+17%).
