Glenbrae, the Yorkshire quality knitwear brand, has announced a new partnership with famous sporting institution, Surrey County Cricket Club. The knitwear manufacturer will supply the sports establishment with a range of lambswool and merino sweaters, as well as a collection of premium merino accessories.

A new project to manufacture a range of pantone-dyed lambswool and merino knitwear is also in place, and Glenbrae will use its embroidery division to produce merchandise featuring the club’s emblem.

“We are excited to be supplying our trademark, best-in-class knitwear to such a great club. Surrey has a fantastic history in the game of cricket and it’s an honour and a privilege to be working with them on a project that looks set to bring our range to yet another new audience,” commented Richard Brown, owner and founder of Glenbrae.

Expertise and reputation

“I have a lot of respect for the Glenbrae name along with its rich heritage in sport. This relationship represents an exciting opportunity for our club and supporters to benefit from its exceptional knitwear. We are extremely impressed with the level of quality and service that Glenbrae offers, and I look forward to continuing the partnership well into the future,” said Steve Kitcher, Head of Retail at Surrey.

Glenbrae Plus is Glenbrae’s specialist division for the custom cresting, colouring and detailing of garments, which is carried out in the company’s in-house embroidery department.

Spectrum Yarns, the parent company of Glenbrae, currently supplies many different markets, including sports, corporate and charity. Sporting events and stadiums represent a promising area for growth, and both Surrey and Glenbrae are confident this partnership will prove successful.
