Italian sock machine builder Busi Giovanni got some good coverage in the French press last week (Fashion Network, Paris) together with its Paris based customer Mes Chaussettes Rouges.

On the special occasion of the bicentenary of Napoleon’s death, Mes Chaussettes Rouges designed and created a beautiful range of socks made on its Busi IDEA sock-knitting machines, replicating Napoleon’s socks.

“Their socks are placed in a nice box representing the Vendôme column. It is being sold at the price of 250 Euros, which makes it a valuable and wonderful gift box,” said Busi Commercial & Marketing Director, Paola Claudia Baldracchi.

“Mes Chaussettes Rouges, a luxury socks shop near Tour Eiffel and the Champs Elisées, specializes in tailor-made top-quality socks for women and men, all made by a Busi machine, and that again lets Busi approach to culture.”

Since 1958 Busi Giovanni has specialised in the design and construction of single-cylinder machines with rib needles in the dial for the production of high-quality stockings, socks and tights. The company is a supplier to the most important producers of stockings, socks and tights, for the men's, women's and children's markets - classic, patterned, sports, technical-sports, as well as medical, with special solutions for graduated compression.

The family-run company sells in 63 countries around the world (90% export) through a network of partners that provide distribution and service.
