Lorpen, a leading outdoor socks brand, has revamped its Polartec T3+ range, which is designed for extreme cold, in its Fall Winter 2021-2022 collection.

One of the highlights is the Polartec Trekking Expedition socks, which have an anatomical design that's different in the left and right feet, and that has three layers on the foot - two layers of Polarec Power Stretch multi-elastic textile and an insulating layer in between with Primaloft fibre.

In the renewed model Lorpen has added Primaloft in the toes and also in the entire sole and heel, which provides a lot more insulation than the previous version. Its look has also been updated to have a trendier design.

The technicality and design of these socks is backed up by the know-how of the brand, which has been based in Etxalar, a small village very close to the Pyrenees, for more than 30 years. Lorpen manufactures all its socks there and then distributes them around the world.

The brand claims to be a pioneer in developing in-house cutting-edge technology for its products. For example, Lorpen says its T3 technology was a turning point in the industry, because it was the first brand to use three different layers of yarn in a single sock.

Lorpen is also a pioneer in using flat seems in the toe with its stitch by stitch linking, which it says is something only it can do at its plant in Etxalar. Specializing in just one product and the passion it makes its socks with, where craft and innovation are mixed, means it’s the brand chosen by the most demanding athletes looking for the best performance. That, the brand says, is because Lorpen socks provide transpirability, protection and maximum compression to guarantee cooler and drier feet than when you wear other socks.
