Brückner, a market leader in dry finishing machines for textiles and technical textiles, has supplied its sixth stenter to Harapan Kurnia, an Indonesian knitwear producer of high-quality fabrics. Indonesia is one of the most important clothing and textile exporting countries worldwide, and Harapan Kurnia has been operating in this market for over 45 years.

The company is certified for ISO9001, Oeko-Tex and USA Cotton and focuses on local social engagement. The company’s goal is to be the leader in textiles business by developing new and fashionable products with modern and eco-friendly technology, as well as supported by Indonesia’s skilled human resources.

The company has 300 employees, an annual turnover of EUR 50 million and its annual growth rate is 20%. Harapan Kurnia produces medium- to high-end fashion wear, swimwear and sportswear, as well as ladies and menswear for the local market and for export. The articles are made of cotton, cellulose and blended material with up to 35% spandex content.

Harapan Kurnia already has five Brückner machines in two separate locations and says it is very satisfied with the machine quality, the accurate automatisation, the accurate control system and the optimised heat recovery system.

“Another point is the good after sales support. They are convinced of the advantages of the Brückner stenters compared to machines with lower investment from other producers,” the German machinery manufacturer reports. “Harapan Kurnia indicate the better machine setting, the better quality and the good support as decisive points for their decision to buy now their sixth Brückner machine.”

With Brückner as its partner, Harapan Kurnia says it aims for continuous product developments for the high-end export markets and wants to keep its position as one of market leaders for high-quality knitted fabrics in Indonesia.
