Hyosung, the leading elastane manufacturer, has increased its capacity in China and Vietnam at the beginning of this year.

The additional expansion in Vietnam is in anticipation of the passing of TPP agreement, and the additional capacity in China is to meet growth in consumer demand for elastane.

Textile Development Center

In addition to investment in capacity, the company has opened a Textile Development Center in China to focus on fabric development and innovation.

The centre includes covering, hosiery, seamless, circular knitting, and weaving equipment. The intent is to use the facilities to test new creora product innovations, as well as develop new prototype concepts to integrate in customised business development workshops.

Competitive advantage

“We are constantly looking for new ways to add value for our customers. Our innovation platforms are focused on improved processing value, enhanced functionality, and new aesthetics,” said President Kim.
