Indian innovation award for Italian fabric manufacturers

Carvico and Jersey Lomellina eco fabrics awarded at the BSL-Brands and Sourcing Leaders Association Convention.

Leading knitted fabrics manufacturers Carvico and Jersey Lomellina have won ‘The Most Innovative Fabrics of The Year 2022’ prize for their eco fabrics, at the first Indian Convention of the BSL - Brands and Sourcing Leaders Association, held in New Delhi from 17-18 December 2022.

“It was an important achievement for our companies, global leaders in the production of performance fabrics for underwear, swimwear, apparel and interior design, whose collections boasts numerous eco-sustainable fabrics created through complex production processes with a really low environmental impact,” the Italian sister companies said.

The convention was organized by the Brands and Sourcing Leaders Association, a non-profit organization which aims to boost the growth of the apparel industry in India by helping start-ups to source the best raw materials.

“The prize awarded by to Carvico, and Jersey Lomellina eco-sustainable fabrics testifies of the thorough research process they stem from and of the attention paid when selecting the raw materials which have always characterized both Carvico and JL products and which are crucial ingredients of high-tech, high-performance, and eco-friendly garments,” the companies added.

Carvico and Jersey Lomellina received the prize from the CEO of Triburg, a leading Indian company which provides sourcing solutions for the apparel sector, in the presence of the Indian Minister of Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal. The prestigious award confirms and consolidates the leading role of the two companies headquartered in Italy’s Bergamo district.
