Groz-Beckert will present a wide range of new textile production innovations at ShanghaiTex 2025, taking place from 16–19 December at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Across its five key product areas – knitting, weaving, nonwovens, sewing, and spinning – the company will highlight precision tools and system advances designed to boost performance, efficiency, and reliability in modern textile manufacturing.

In knitting, the company will introduce the LCmax, a next-generation energy-saving circular knitting needle featuring a distinctive wave-shaped shank geometry that minimises friction and reduces energy consumption. Visitors will also see the results of Groz-Beckert’s collaboration with machine builder Borgfly: a new LCmax needle with customised hook geometry, developed with rapid turnaround.

Joint developments with Pailung will also be shown, including an ultra-fine transfer needle and a compound needle engineered for enhanced durability and process stability.

Additional knitting highlights include the SAN SF staple fibre needle and SNK SF sinker combination for reduced contamination, flat knitting solutions developed with Cixing, and specialised needles such as the SAN TT for tight loops and SAN FY for effect yarns. The legwear segment will feature durable dur needles along with new system parts for improved loop transfer, while warp knitting developments will focus on an expanded module range and a guide needle for Piezo-Jacquard systems.

The weaving division will present precision-engineered preparation and accessory components including heald frames, healds, warp stop motions, drop wires, and reeds. Special emphasis will be placed on Groz-Beckert’s versatile reeds, valued for their accuracy and suitability for both high-speed and technical textile applications.

In nonwovens, the company will spotlight advanced solutions for needling and carding. Key developments from the InLine product family include SiroLock plus worker and doffer wires, designed to improve carding consistency and machine availability.

The sewing division will display a comprehensive range of specialist needles for demanding applications. These include SAN 5.2 for technical textiles, SAN 6 with GEBEDUR coating for woven materials, SAN 10 and SAN 10 XS for fine knits, and the Litespeed needle for high-speed or dense material sewing. Additional highlights include the MR needle for multidirectional operations and the DBxK5 SAN 1 for embroidery on rigid substrates.

In spinning, Groz-Beckert will introduce a maintenance-free cylinder wire offering extended service life, alongside improved revolving tops for fine yarn applications and stationary flats featuring a robust aluminium profile for enhanced durability and precision.

As the world’s leading provider of industrial machine needles and precision tools, Groz-Beckert continues to expand its expertise across textile production technologies. With a presence in more than 150 countries and a global workforce of around 9,400 people, the Group – which includes Groz-Beckert, TKM, and Solidian – remains a key partner to manufacturers worldwide.
