Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition opens today, 2 September, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), running until 4 September. The fair will welcome more than 3,700 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions, alongside international and domestic buyers, to foster business exchange and showcase textile innovation.
The event will feature nine country and region pavilions and zones, as well as eight group pavilions from major industry players. Eight overseas buyer delegations are also expected to attend. Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said: “Intertextile Apparel is more than just a trade fair. It’s a dynamic platform that proactively responds to the evolving needs of the global apparel industry.”
With four focus themes – fashion fabrics and accessories, functional fashion, sustainability, and digital transformation – the fair covers all key apparel segments. New highlights include Bespoke Performance in the Premium Wool Zone, featuring functional suiting fabrics, and the Essential Suits & Shirts zone, aimed at the ready-to-wear market. Leading exhibitors include Mahmood Textile Mills and Kohinoor Mills from Pakistan.
Other featured zones include Econogy Hub, Functional Lab, Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone, Premium Wool Zone, SalonEurope, Verve for Design, Accessories Vision, and Beyond Denim. Dedicated pavilions will represent France, Hong Kong, India, Italy (Milano Unica), Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Taiwan, and Türkiye.
International exhibitors joining for the first time include Itochu Corporation (Japan), Fibrant (Netherlands), and Wendler Einlagen (Germany). Group pavilions will be hosted by Hyosung, Lenzing, Lycra, Prutex, and Sorona, with exhibitors showcasing advanced fibre and fabric technologies.
A comprehensive fringe programme will run during the first two days, with 37 seminars covering trends, business strategies, technologies, and sustainability. Speakers will include WGSN, AFTEX, HKRITA, and the OEKO-TEX Association.
International buyer delegations from Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, and Türkiye will attend, underlining the fair’s global importance. Visitors can also explore technical textiles at Cinte Techtextil China, held from 3–5 September 2025 in Shanghai, with complimentary access for pre-registered Intertextile attendees.
Intertextile Apparel is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry (CCPIT), and the China Textile Information Centre, and will run alongside Yarn Expo Autumn, CHIC, and PH Value.
