A total of 100 Italian textile machinery companies will exhibit at ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore 2025, taking place from 28–31 October. With an exhibition area of around 4,000 square metres, Italy once again ranks among the top exhibiting nations. Fifty-three of the exhibitors will feature within the National Sector Groups organised by ACIMIT (the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA).
ITMA ASIA + CITME is the key platform for textile machinery suppliers in Asia, which accounts for around 50% of global textile machinery imports, valued at €8.8 billion in 2024. China and India remain the leading markets, importing machinery worth €4.3 billion in total.
For Italian manufacturers, Asia continues to be a vital destination. In 2024, Italian exports to the region totalled €664 million, and in the first half of 2025 grew by 1% year-on-year to €317 million. China, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are the main Asian destinations for Italian textile machinery.
“ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore is another opportunity for Italian textile machinery manufacturers to showcase their latest technological offerings,” said ACIMIT President Marco Salvadè. “Singapore provides access to many Southeast Asian markets, which are becoming increasingly important production hubs. Despite global uncertainties, the strong Italian presence demonstrates the vitality of our industry.”
Italian manufacturers at the exhibition will present a comprehensive range of advanced technologies covering the entire textile value chain. Highlights will include digitalisation tools to boost connectivity and process efficiency, automation systems for smarter production, and sustainable innovations designed to reduce environmental impact through optimised energy and water use.
Giorgio Calveri, Director of ITA Singapore, added: “With 86% of its €2.1 billion annual production exported, Italy’s textile machinery industry remains strongly international. ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore provides a strategic opportunity to reinforce our position in Asia as a trusted partner for advanced, sustainable and competitive technologies.”
ACIMIT represents around 300 Italian textile machinery manufacturers employing 12,500 people. Together, they generate an annual turnover of approximately €2.1 billion. Creativity, sustainable technology, reliability and quality continue to define the global reputation of Italian textile machinery.
