The region’s premier textile machinery exhibition, ITMA Asia + CITME Singapore 2025, opened today at the Singapore Expo, marking the event’s return to the city-state after two decades. The opening ceremony was officiated by Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade & Industry and Ministry of National Development, Republic of Singapore.

Running from 28–31 October 2025, the four-day exhibition has attracted over 840 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions, representing every major segment of the textile and garment manufacturing industry. Covering more than 70,000 square metres of exhibition space, the event showcases cutting-edge innovations spanning spinning, weaving, knitting, finishing, garment making, textile processing, automation, and recycling.

Jointly owned by CEMATEX (the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers) and CITME, represented by the China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and CCPIT TEX, this edition marks the first time the combined event has been staged outside China since the partnership began in 2008. The Singapore venue aims to strengthen connections with key growth markets across South and Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

“This Singapore edition marks a new milestone for ITMA Asia + CITME,” said Alex Zucchi, President of CEMATEX. “By bringing the latest machinery and digital solutions closer to regional growth markets, we aim to provide a trusted platform for mill owners to source technologies that drive sustainability and long-term competitiveness.”

Gu Ping, President of CTMA, added: “Amid a new wave of digital transformation, textile and machinery sectors stand at the forefront of change. ITMA Asia + CITME continues to serve as a bridge for global collaboration and knowledge exchange across the textile supply chain.”

CEMATEX countries and China dominate the show floor, accounting for nearly 70% of total exhibit space. Italy leads the European participation with 98 exhibitors, followed by Germany and Switzerland, while China fields 310 exhibitors. India represents the largest group from outside these regions with 87 exhibitors.

Among the 19 product sectors, finishing is the largest with 184 exhibitors (22% of exhibit space), followed by spinning (167 exhibitors, 19%), knitting (99 exhibitors, 15%), weaving (80 exhibitors, 11%), and printing (56 exhibitors, 10%). Across all sectors, exhibitors are focusing on technologies promoting circularity, resource efficiency, waterless processing, and renewable energy integration.

In conjunction with the exhibition, CEMATEX will host the ITMA Sustainability Forum: Accelerating the Green Transition on 30 October 2025, presented in partnership with the Singapore Fashion Council. The half-day forum will spotlight how the global textile industry can accelerate its journey toward environmental responsibility through innovation and collaboration.

Owned by CEMATEX and co-organised by ITMA Services and the Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Company, ITMA Asia + CITME Singapore 2025 reinforces its position as a global platform where innovation, sustainability, and technology converge to shape the textile industry’s future.
