Karl Mayer has upgraded it Rascheltronic RSJ 4/1 machine and has extended its gauge range to include gauge E32.

The latest version of Karl Mayer’s RSJ 4/1 is the company claims, one of the fastest machines for the production of fine warp-knitted fabrics with a lace look. The innovative Rascheltronic machine celebrated its premiere at ITMA 2011 in Barcelona, where it gave a convincing and unique performance, Karl Mayer reports.

Karl Mayer says it has been possible to improve the productivity and flexibility of the latest RSJ 4/1 considerably, compared to the previous model, by making the appropriate modifications. The technical changes include, amongst other things, separate threading for the jacquard bars – a step which permits differential movement of the two knitting elements in the forward position. Because of this separate bar movement the RSJ 4/1 can produce patterned net grounds such as the ‘spotnet’ type fabrics which are popular at the moment and which can be produced at high operating speeds.

Further modifications to improve the design range include increasing the maximum repeat on the pattern disc from 12 to 24 per revolution and converting a line-dependent sequential mode of operation using KAMCOS/Multi-Speed.

The high-speed, versatile Rascheltronic has a working width of 130" and has been offered in E 28 gauge since 2011. As of now this high-performance raschel machine is also available in E 32 gauge.

As a result of extending the gauge range the latest RSJ 4/1 can now be purchased with the same range of fittings as its predecessor. In addition we have a machine with an excellent cost/benefit ratio, in particular for the production of fine underwear with all-over patterning or delicate lace ribbons, Karl Mayer said in a statement.
