Karl Mayer has unveiled its latest innovation, the HKS 2-SE TWO, at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025 in Singapore. Compact, powerful, and cost-efficient, the new two-bar tricot machine delivers double production output while reducing space, energy, and maintenance requirements - reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in warp knitting technology.

Renowned for its high-speed and precision-engineered tricot machines, Karl Mayer continues to push performance boundaries in elastic fabric production. The existing HKS 2-SE series, known for operating speeds up to 4,400 rpm, remains the fastest warp knitting range on the market. Models such as the HKS 2-SE PLUS and HKS 2-S have already gained global recognition for producing high-modulus twill stitch fabrics, sportswear, lingerie and UV-protective textiles.

Building on this foundation, the new HKS 2-SE TWO introduces a breakthrough concept: a two-in-one configuration with a working width of 2 x 130 inches, offering significantly higher efficiency than two separate machines. Despite doubling output, it occupies less floor space and consumes less energy, making it an ideal solution for manufacturers seeking both productivity and sustainability gains.

Energy efficiency is achieved through a streamlined design incorporating a single main and beam drive for each unit, along with a belt-free yarn feed system for the second guide bar. This innovative drive solution reduces wear, power consumption, and maintenance costs.

Operational simplicity is another major advantage. Instead of producing one continuous fabric sheet, the HKS 2-SE TWO creates two separate, identical panels, which are easier to handle and change. Adjustments are made on a single machine, saving considerable time and effort during production.

The total cost of ownership is more than halved, with a price point significantly below the combined cost of two standalone machines, offering exceptional return on investment. Karl Mayer will initially offer the HKS 2-SE TWO in gauges E 32, E 36, and E 40, with the E 36 version demonstrating its capabilities at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025 in Hall 5, Stand A301, where it is producing a versatile fabric for the fashion and apparel sector.
