Karl Mayer has introduced its new RE 6 EL Raschel machine, designed to meet the growing demand for flexible, efficient and reliable production in today’s rapidly changing textile markets. With manufacturers increasingly required to handle small batch sizes and frequent pattern changes, the latest addition to the company’s Raschel portfolio offers a cost-optimised solution without compromising on performance.

The RE 6 EL builds on the established strengths of the RSE 6 EL, delivering essentially the same performance parameters while benefiting from optimised production structures. These local production advantages allow the new machine to achieve a particularly attractive price-performance ratio, making it well suited to operations where rapid design changes are part of daily production.

Available in working widths of 170 inches and optionally 130 inches, the RE 6 EL comes as standard in gauge E 32, with an E 28 version offered as an option. Equipped with six guide bars, the machine enables the production of complex patterns and a wide variety of fabric structures. All guide bars are electronically controlled, allowing quick and precise pattern changes, with a maximum cumulative shogging distance of two inches and an underlap of up to 15 needles.

A warp beam support, matching the high technical standard of the earlier RSE 6 EL, allows beams of different diameters to be positioned flexibly. This ensures easy adaptation to varying yarn capacities and production requirements. Machine configuration and operation are handled via the proven KAMCOS 2 control system, which enables accurate setting of electronic functions and ensures efficient, user-friendly operation.

Based on the proven technology of its predecessor, the RE 6 EL delivers stable running, high fabric quality and impressive productivity. Depending on yarn and lapping, working speeds of up to 1,400 rpm can be achieved. Combined with optimised supply chains, the machine offers high-cost efficiency while maintaining the performance expected from Karl Mayer Raschel technology.

Thanks to its flexibility and output, the RE 6 EL can be used across the same broad range of applications as the RS 6 EL. Typical end uses include elastic fabrics for underwear and swimwear, textured and structured materials for outerwear, functional fabrics for shapewear and corsetry, and decorative fabrics for home textiles.
