Kern Liebers Group has reported consolidated sales of €729 million for its 2024/2025 fiscal year, a year-on-year decline of around 5% from €767 million. When adjusted for currency fluctuations and one-off factors, the decline narrows to nearly 3%. Despite a weakening German industrial landscape and restrained consumer demand, the company posted solid performance driven by growth in Asia.
CEO Dr Erek Speckert highlighted the challenges facing German industry but stressed the resilience of the company’s international strategy. “Thanks to our international focus and especially strong growth in China and India, we were able to achieve a stable overall result,” he said.
A notable development was the opening of a second manufacturing plant in Pune, India, in June 2025. The facility reinforces the strategic role of the Asian market in Kern Liebers’ growth plans and enhances service capacity for local customers.
“Our ‘local-for-local’ strategy is proving effective,” added Speckert. “Producing within regional markets shields us from many global tariff disruptions.”
The company invested €22 million - 3% of total sales - into new machinery and projects in 2024/2025, with an emphasis on automation, digitalisation, and expanding capabilities in high-growth regions.
Due to prevailing geopolitical and economic instability, Kern Liebers is not issuing a forecast for the next fiscal year.
The group currently employs 6,130 people worldwide, including 2,810 in Germany and 1,070 at its Schramberg-Sulgen headquarters.
The Kern Liebers Group is a globally recognised German engineering and manufacturing company, known primarily for its precision metal components and subassemblies, especially for use in textile machinery, automotive systems, consumer electronics, medical technology, and mechanical and electrical engineering industries.
