KnitMesh Technologies has announced the launch of PyroCore Pyrotechnic Actuator Mesh, a high-performance knitted wire mesh solution developed for use in demanding pyrotechnic actuation systems.
The new PyroCore product range represents a natural extension of the company’s established actuator and airbag filter portfolio, building on decades of experience in supplying knitted wire mesh for safety-critical applications. It has been designed to deliver controlled gas flow, effective filtration, heat dissipation and reliable energy management in extreme operating environments.
Engineered to support modern pyrotechnic devices, PyroCore helps to regulate shock waves, reduce temperature peaks and capture particulates during activation. This enables predictable and repeatable performance in applications where conventional filter media or components may not be able to withstand operating conditions.
Headquartered in Flintshire, North Wales, KnitMesh Technologies also operates manufacturing facilities near New Delhi in India, enabling the company to support customers worldwide from prototype development through to high-volume production.

The company works closely with customers across automotive, aerospace, defence and a wide range of industrial sectors to design, manufacture and supply bespoke knitted wire mesh products. Each PyroCore solution can be tailored to individual system requirements, including material selection, mesh density, component geometry and integration with customer assemblies.
According to Craig Jones, engineering manager at KnitMesh Technologies, the launch marks an important development for the company’s pyrotechnic offering. He said the product reflects ongoing investment in innovation and a commitment to supporting customers with reliable solutions for critical safety and actuation systems.
PyroCore Actuator Mesh is available now, offering full customisation options and scalable supply to support development programmes through to full production.
