Headquartered in Singapore, ThreadSol, a technology leader in material management solutions for the clothing industry, has announced the launch of its flagship product IntelloCut, Version 2.0, to boost the top-line growth of the Sri Lankan clothing industry.

IntelloCut Version 2.0 is an artificial intelligence (AI) based system for the clothing industry that is designed to automate fabric planning, track fabric usage, improve utilisation and help manufacturers ship more garments, resulting in direct top line growth. The product has been developed to reduce the biggest costs in manufacturing, which are labour and fabric costs.

“Advent of diversification in global clothing sourcing has brought renewed focus into skill-based manufacturing. This is alongside the requirement from brands for vendors to handle more styles in short lead times. Automation and dynamism is the next stop for the garment manufacturing industry and with Version 2 we aim to achieve just that,” explained Manasij Ganguli, Founder CEO, ThreadSol.

ThreadSol has partnered with some leading manufacturers, including Crystal Martin Brandix, MAS, Hirdaramani in SriLanka, HS Fashions, Jiaxing New Rimei, Tomwell in China, Urmi, Bimexco, Fakri, Epic in Bangladesh, PAN Brothers, Metro Group in Indonesia, Luenthai, Saitex, Dewhirst in Vietnam, and more. The solutions have helped them boost their top line by up to 1%, according to the manufacturer.

Keeping up with the evolving times of technology, ThreadSol’s outlook is to create innovative solutions powered by AI, Big Data and IoT based Mobility to drive top line and bottom line growth for the clothing industry. “The garment business is extremely competitive, but manufacturers can position themselves for breakthrough profits and improved customer service by focusing on managing material cost,” the company concludes.

ThreadSol was established in 2012 and now has offices in Delhi, Bangalore, Jakarta, Colombo, Istanbul, Ho Chi Minh City and Dhaka. It serves more than 120 customers in 15 geographies. ThreadSol solutions – intelloCut and intelloBuy – are currently used by manufacturers in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Turkey, Philippines and China.
