Karl Mayer will unveil two new machines for the tricot sector at next week’s ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025 in Singapore, each designed to enhance performance, flexibility and economic value in warp knitting production. Both machines promise to set new benchmarks in efficiency, speed and cost-effectiveness across multiple textile segments.

A key highlight is a new two-bar tricot machine developed for the elastic fabrics sector. Built on the proven HKS platform, the model introduces a completely new technical concept aimed at significantly increasing productivity. Its enhanced performance ensures more efficient production processes and lower unit costs, while maintaining the high-quality standards required for applications such as athleisure, activewear and intimate apparel.

Karl Mayer says the design represents an optimal balance between output, flexibility and investment cost, making it a strong choice for producers seeking to expand capacity without compromising quality. Full technical details of the new machine’s configuration and performance will be unveiled during the trade fair.

The second new model on display will be the HKS 4-M EL ECO, a high-value addition to the company’s 4-bar tricot machine range. Positioned within the medium-stroke sector, the HKS 4-M EL ECO offers a compelling combination of price-performance ratio and application diversity. Featuring a 2” shogging distance on all four guide bars, optional multi-speed and EL pattern drive, the machine enables versatile fabric design and efficient production of fashion, footwear and sports textiles – including elastic outerwear fabrics.

Despite its competitive pricing, the HKS 4-M EL ECO delivers fabric quality and appearance on par with Karl Mayer’s premium models, such as the HKS 4-M and HKS 4-M EL. The model on show in Singapore, an HKS 4-M EL ECO in E 32 gauge, will demonstrate its capabilities by producing contemporary seersucker fabrics live at the exhibition.

Visitors can explore both new machines at Karl Mayer’s stand A301 in Hall 5 of the Singapore EXPO, where the company will showcase its ongoing leadership in warp knitting innovation.
