Shima Seiki, a leading textile solutions provider based in Wakayama, Japan, will exhibit at Future Fabrics Expo 2025 in London this June. The event, held during London Climate Action Week, serves as a hub for sustainable sourcing and innovation across the fashion and interiors industries.
Shima will highlight its APEXFiz design software, a subscription-based digital tool that supports the creative process from planning through to virtual sampling. APEXFiz allows designers to generate accurate digital prototypes for flat knitting, circular knitting, weaving, embroidery, print and more, reducing the need for physical samples and the associated waste of time, cost and materials.
Virtual samples created using APEXFiz can also be used in e-commerce and pre-production stages to gauge consumer interest before manufacturing begins, supporting inventory optimisation and waste reduction. This capability positions APEXFiz as a powerful enabler of sustainable, demand-driven production.
At Future Fabrics Expo 2025, the company will display realistic virtual swatches at its booth and in the Curated Textiles Area to demonstrate the expressive quality and practical application of its simulations. The technology is relevant not only to designers and visitors but also to fellow exhibitors looking to evaluate sustainable fabrics digitally.
Shima’s presence at the show underscores its ongoing commitment to sustainability through digital transformation. The company is widely recognised for its WHOLEGARMENT technology, which enables seamless garment production without sewing, and has long led the market with innovations in computerised flat knitting and 3D design systems.
Future Fabrics Expo 2025 takes place on 24–25 June at Magazine London. Shima Seiki will exhibit at Booth Q8D.
