Starting April 2007 Dr. Martin Prillmann (41) has been appointed as managing director at KARL MAYER. He will take over from Ulrich Mayer, who is retiring from the company this summer.

Dr. Prillmann started in his new post at KARL MAYER on 2nd April, and will take over all the roles and functions of his predecessor during the course of the summer.

The new managing director, who holds a doctorate in business administration, worked for many years in a well-known management consultancy firm, and was mainly involved with privately owned, mid sized companies. Before moving to KARL MAYER, he was Chief Financial Officer of Kunz Holding GmbH & Co. KG, a family-run company.

Martin Prillmann will work alongside the current managing director, Fritz P. Mayer, and envisages his new role as being closely involved with the structural changes currently taking place on the markets on which the KARL MAYER Group operates. The recent structural improvements carried out at the company’s headquarters in Germany and the expansion of its operations in Asia have enabled the Group as a whole to continue to grow and to cater for the challenges and demands presented by the market in the long term. Martin Prillmann has stressed his commitment to following the same course.
