Carrefour, one of the largest hypermarket chains in the world, has selected Lycra Sport technology to add comfort and performance to its new line of TEX brand sport bras. “TEX is the chain’s leading brand and it spans virtually every garment category. The goal of the TEX brand is to deliver high quality, stylish fashions at budget-friendly prices,” the company explains.

TEX sport bras feature Lycra Sport technology, which is scientifically engineered to deliver lasting comfort, fit and support to stretch activewear. Carrefour explains it selected fabrics made with this technology because it offered targeted support that can be customised to suit a wide range of sports and activities. Lycra Sport technology is also designed to offer exceptional freedom of movement, which is critical to optimising an athlete’s performance.

The colourful and versatile TEX sport bra collection is designed to appeal to athletes and active consumers, as well as the growing number of athleisure consumers. “While this line is designed for sports, it’s important to remember that many consumers buy sport bras for leisure wear. In fact, 41% of consumers buy sport bras for non-sport use in the US,” the company reports.

Invista and Carrefour have joined forces to promote TEX brand’s new line of sport bras to consumers. Customised co-branded POS materials communicate the benefits of Lycra Sport technology in stores and in their apparel catalogue.
