News initiatives from yarns and fibres trade show Filo seem to be never ending – and a new area exclusively dedicated to knitting is the latest idea from show chief Gianni Bologna.

“Yarns for knitting have always been present in the collections of Filo exhibiting companies. With the support of the ‘fashion’ industry that for at least two years has been recording an increase of garments made in circular and flat knits, from now on it will be located in an area appropriate to its importance within the exhibiting area of Filo,” comments Mr Bologna.

“Therefore, among the innovations of the 56th edition of Filo, you will find an area particularly designed for turning the spotlights on this sector and its specific creativity and it will be called ‘Un filo per la maglia’ (a yarn for knitwear).”

Filo’s Paolo Monfermoso adds: “A new beginning for Filo and its exhibitors: yarns for knitting are an industry which has been always present in the fair; now Filo wants to give it the right importance. And I’m glad to say that the initiative has met great support from the exhibiting companies.”

The 56th edition of Filo will take place on the 29th and 30th of September 2021 at MiCo - Milano Convention Centre (via Gattamelata 5, Milano, Italy).
