Vertical warp and weft knit fabrics manufacturer Nylatex has developed three brand new collections for the forthcoming Interfiliere, to be held in Paris in September.

The first of the collections for intimate apparel is a new shape wear collection with secret shape wear elements. These have control aspects but without the weight of more traditional fabrics. Nylatex told KnittingIndustry.com: “At first glance you wouldn't know these innovative constructions are for control garments. With complimentary second skin weights, and medium to firm control properties, this brand new contemporary collection then progresses to hidden mesh constructions for skin breathability.”

Ecocare fabricsThe second collection of fabrics that Nylatex will be showing is called Ecocare and is aimed at intimate apparel and sportswear markets. Design Coordinator at Nylatex, Gail Lenton explained: “Ecocare is made from recycled Nylon and reduces the impact on raw materials, saves on greenhouse gas emissions and reduces landfill waste.”

“This group of luxury fabrics offers our customer the choice of a kinder product, with the performance and handle of virgin nylon. We at Nylatex strive to offer innovation with respect for the environment enabling our customers to make better choices for a better world” , added Lenton. The collection in fine gauge, powernet, shapewear and selvedge constructions is designed to offer gorgeousness and kindness.

“Nylatex’ third collection of fabrics for Interfiliere is called Stay White Stay Clean, which is made from spun dyed white yarn containing permanent antimicrobial properties. Nylatex claims that the fabrics help reduce CO2 gas emissions and enables consumers to launder their garments at lower temperatures should they so wish, without effecting the whiteness and cleanliness of the garment.

Nylatex has a purpose built dyehouse, designed to recycle water, which reduces its water usage by 15% whilst using efficient machinery and advanced controlling systems. The main factory has reduced its CO2 emissions by 450 tonnes per year over the last three years and is working with the Carbon Trust to make further reductions. Nylatex has been accredited with the Oeko-Tex standard 100 for a number of years and all dyestuffs coming into the plant are fully assessed against health and safety guidelines and regulations.

Nylatex will be presenting its collections at Interfiliere September 2008 in Paris, Hall 3, Booth H14/J17
