Polopiqué, one of the largest Portuguese textile groups and one of the few remaining vertical textiles and clothing groups in Europe, will be present its latest collection at the main international textile fairs taking place in the first months of this year.

This week from 10-13 January the company presented its home textiles collection at Heimtextil in Frankfurt, the largest and most relevant fair dedicated to home and contract textiles. Later in January, Polopiqué heads to Munich to attend Munich Fabric Start, an international fabric fair which runs from 24 to 26 January.

February brings the unmissable Premiére Vision in Paris (7-9 February), and finally Filo in Milan (22-23 February), where the company will show its innovations in yarns and fibres.

At the shows Polopiqué will present its SS24 Collection with fabrics and knitwear developed with an eco-responsible purpose, favouring recycled and natural fibres. Blends with fibres such as organic cotton, recycled and biodegradable fibres - hemp, linen, pineapple fibre, nettle, EcoVero viscose by Lenzing, Lyocell, Modal and Naia acetate yarn of sustainable origin – will all be in evidence in the collection.

“We present innovations in terms of fabric structures, namely fabrics with a knitted look that provide greater comfort, elasticity and a pleasant touch. We also highlight structured terry and interlocks, fluid qualities with very faint sparkles, extra light ribs, textured jerseys and ribs and fresh jacquards always inspired by the latest trends,” a spokesperson for the company said.

“Finally, we have introduced special finishings on fabrics and knitwear such as UV protection, anti-bacterial, wrinkle free, thermal regulation of the body and skin care and treatment.”

Polopiqué was founded in 1996 to manufacture and commercialize clothing, by a family with many generations of tradition and textile knowledge. It is one of the few vertical textile and clothing companies in Europe, controlling production from spinning, knitting, weaving and finishing to garment manufacturing.

Polopiqué produces for the largest fashion groups in the world and exports to over 40 countries. Revenues reach around 90 million Euros per year and it currently employs over 800 people.

"Anticipating and predicting tomorrow's fashion today is what distinguishes us. This is what Polopiqué is all about. We are creativity, agility and speed,” Luís Guimarães, president of the group, says.
