Feminine and elegant tights under a name Rachel, a Canadian brand boasting thousands of North American customers, are now made using Q-Nova fibre by Fulgar, an Italian leader in the production of innovative, sustainable man-made fibres.

Created by Carolyne and Mélanie, Rachel is for all women who want to feel beautiful, comfortable and feminine every day, with an accessible and essential wardrobe accessory. The Canadian brand’s philosophy aims to combine style and elegance with the value and importance of sustainability. Its entire tights collection featuring printed tights, colourful tights and more, are produced in Italy in factories that respect environmental and ethical work standards.

The company’s partnership with Q-Nova by Fulgar, the innovative fibre made using regenerated raw materials, has resulted in two eco-friendly tights styles. “Our mission is to help women feel beautiful in what they’re wearing and develop their style by offering a unique selection of tights,” said Mélanie, one of the brand’s co-founders. “We’re very enthusiastic about the launch of these two products, especially because we’re the only Canadian company to offer the option of sustainable tights.”

This month, the brand launched the first release from its new eco tights collection featuring its classic Polka Dot Tight and bestselling Over-the-Knee Tights, taking on step forward for sustainability, as the first Canadian hosiery brand to add green products to its offer. It’s an important initiative, for which the brand chose the cutting-edge recycled yarn by Fulgar, a world-leading company at the forefront of Italy’s hosiery sector.

Fulgar’s green portfolio is growing all the time, and Q-Nova fibre is the first speciality developed by the company in this field. This eco-sustainable fibre makes the company’s production processes more sustainable, leading to a reduction in CO2 emissions and water use. Q-Nova is made exclusively from raw materials regenerated through a mechanical process that takes place without the use of chemicals that could compromise the sustainability of the end product.

“We’re proud that more and more international brands are choosing our fibres to make eco-sustainable products,” said Alan Garosi, Marketing Manager of Fulgar. “We believe it’s crucial to promote the value and importance of sustainability within the fashion industry so that companies become increasingly aware of this idea and begin to offer consumers affordable, high-quality products that respect the environment.”
