As winter approaches, British luxury brand Tengri has announced the return of its most-loved knitted essentials, crafted from one of nature’s rarest materials – Khangai noble fibres. These limited-edition pieces are made from the soft down shed by baby yaks each spring across Mongolia’s sacred Khangai Mountains.

Each animal yields only around 100 grammes of fibre, gathered by hand from nomadic herders who have lived in harmony with nature for generations. The resulting material embodies a deep connection between land, people and spirit, reflecting what Tengri describes as “The Tengri Way” – a philosophy rooted in respect for nature and responsible craftsmanship.

“Every piece begins as a seasonal blessing, a collaboration between nature, people, and place,” said Nancy Johnston, Founder of Tengri. “It is guided by the belief that harmony with the land sustains us all.”

The brand’s new release includes the Emblem Sweater, a re-edition from its archives inspired by Scottish Fair Isle patterns and Mongolian symbolism, alongside hand-finished bedsocks and scarves. Each product is made in small batches using slow, intentional production methods designed to preserve quality and meaning.

With pre-orders now open and shipments beginning on 14 December 2025, Tengri continues to champion sustainable luxury, from the steppes of Mongolia to its design studio in the Scottish Highlands.
