Hawick Cashmere of Scotland successfully operates from Hawick, the capital of Cashmere in the Scottish Borders, and has become increasingly recognized in the global fashion world.

The Company is very pleased about the visit of The Princess Royal and enormously proud to show her the Autumn/Winter Collection 2008/09, which is currently being sold with great success to buyers from the most important fashion and department stores on three continents, and also its state–of-the-art manufacturing plant.

Cashmere, made in Scotland

Jim Thomson, Chief Executive, commented “Hawick Cashmere of Scotland has been, and remains, committed to cashmere, quality and manufacturing here in Hawick.

Two years ago, true to its tradition of innovation and entrepreneurship, Hawick Cashmere of Scotland became the first manufacturer in Scotland to acquire the latest three dimensional seamless knitting machines. Last year the transition was completed and 90% production was switched to the new machines. Today Hawick Cashmere of Scotland is able to produce its seamless collection, perfectly shaped, extremely responsive, and last, but not least, to offer a special novel experience - a "Create Your Own" service to its retail customers around the world. A service that allows customers to order their garment customised to their needs.

Today, Hawick of Cashmere of Scotland has company-owned flagship stores in Baden-Baden, Beaver Creek, Bratislava, Edinburgh, Geneva, Gleneagles, Harrogate, Kelso, Kitzbühel, St Moritz, Stow-on-the-Wold, Villars and Hawick. The Company will see a further 2 stores opening in Tokyo and Vienna later this year. The brand can also be found in over 200 specialty stores located in the most select shopping avenues worldwide.
