Sheep Inc., the world’s first carbon-negative fashion brand, has launched The Knit Clinic, a dedicated aftercare initiative developed in partnership with The Seam, the UK’s leading clothing repair and alteration platform. The new service reinforces Sheep Inc.’s commitment to sustainability by encouraging garment longevity and reducing textile waste.
The Knit Clinic is now available to all UK-based customers through sheepinc.com. It provides access to a suite of professional services, including stitch repairs, reblocking, de-pilling, and general garment refreshes. These services are performed by experienced Makers from The Seam’s network, all of whom possess specialist knowledge in knitwear restoration, ensuring that the original quality and craftsmanship of each piece is preserved.
By embedding aftercare into its offering, Sheep Inc. continues to challenge the fast fashion model, advocating for a more considered approach to clothing ownership. “This is about shifting away from a culture of disposability and embracing circularity,” a company spokesperson said. “We want our garments to last a lifetime, and The Knit Clinic makes that possible.”
Once a service is booked online, the knitwear is collected, professionally restored, and returned to the customer within a few days - making the process as seamless and accessible as possible.
This latest move aligns with a wider industry trend of prioritising full lifecycle responsibility. By offering built-in repair services, Sheep Inc. sets a new benchmark for sustainable fashion practice, integrating environmental consciousness with high-quality garment care.
Sheep Inc. is known for its regenerative Merino wool knitwear, and its status as the first carbon-negative fashion label globally. With transparency, traceability, and planetary restoration at its core, the brand’s garments are designed not only to be worn, but also to be responsibly maintained.
The Seam, meanwhile, has gained recognition for modernising tailoring and repair services across the UK, connecting consumers with local textile artisans through its digital platform. This collaboration with Sheep Inc. is its latest step in scaling access to sustainable wardrobe solutions.
As consumer awareness around fashion’s environmental impact grows, initiatives like The Knit Clinic offer a tangible solution. By empowering customers to care for their clothing, Sheep Inc. and The Seam are demonstrating that longevity, craftsmanship, and environmental responsibility can - and should - coexist in contemporary fashion.
