Layers of a knitwear are formed by setting a view point and a light source, by converting the stitches in the filament data into a 2D-stitch image, as viewed from a view point, with fluff, by overlapping the stitch images and by adding coordinates of an opacity and a depth direction.A ray tracing is performed in the layers of the knitwear, and average shadows by the knitwear are applied to the layers of the human body model or the fabric so that they are synthesized to a display image.; The simulation image, which expresses the thread body and the fluff of the knitwear and which expresses the shadows of the knitwear on the human body model, can be created in a high quality for a short time period.
