Shima Seiki showroom in Milan

Shima Seiki showed for the first time as part of KnitClub, the new initiative launched at Pitti Filati where some of the best knitting factories showcase their work and technological capabilities.

In addition to their Apex 3 software, a powerful tool that helps designers from the conception of a garment to its production, and their revolutionary knitting systems, Shima Seiki also showcased a collection of garments produced entirely on their machines.

The company has had a showroom in Milan for quite some time, but it wasn’t until last year, in occasion of a special event, that it was officially launched. The same event will take place at the end of March this year to mark the first year’s anniversary of its official opening.

The showroom is open to Shima’s clients: knitwear factories, spinners but also designers and students alike, and it is an invaluable source of inspiration where designers can research new ideas, take pictures and browse through a vast library of stitches, fabrics and garments.
