Shima Seiki Italia S.p.A., the Italian arm of Japan’s leading flat knitting technology innovator Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd., will return to exhibit at Pitti Immagine Filati 97 from 1–3 July 2025 in Florence. The company will present in the CustomEasy section, showcasing its latest advancements in flat knitting machinery and design software.
Making its production debut at the event is the SES-R, a next-generation evolution of the pioneering SES series. Featuring a new sinker system, advanced plating capabilities, and enhanced inlay knitting performance, the SES-R will be displayed in 14-gauge format following its prototype reveal at ITMA Milan in 2023.
Also on display will be the N.SVR122 in 22 gauge, a standard bearer for high-quality, extra-fine knitwear, and the N.SSR072, a jacquard collar machine offering reliable, economical production with precision shaping features.
In addition to machinery, Shima Seiki will highlight its APEXFiz design software, a subscription-based solution that enables realistic virtual sampling for sustainable, digital-first product development. Supporting services including yarnbank, SHIMA Datamall, and the SHIMANAVI e-learning platform will also be demonstrated.
Visitors can also expect knit samples from Japan, Italy, and Creators, The Call contest winner Leonie Van Balen, selected at Pitti Filati 96 by popular vote.
The exhibition underscores Shima Seiki’s dedication to innovation and sustainable production in the fashion and textile sector.
