Shima Seiki has launched its latest webinar, Spinning the Future – Cutting-Edge Yarn Innovations with yarnbank and Material Professionals. The online event is now available to view on demand until 1 October 2025. Viewers can use YouTube’s auto-translate captions feature to follow the content in their preferred language.

The webinar is divided into three sections. The first, Mastering yarnbank, Your Ultimate Guide, demonstrates how to fully utilise the yarnbank platform for knit manufacturing. It covers searching yarns, making inquiries, and downloading digital yarn data to streamline sourcing and production.

In the second section, Passion for Craftsmanship and the Latest Recommended Materials, yarn suppliers featured on yarnbank share their most recent material developments, company insights, and their commitment to craftsmanship. Participants include Fortune Tech Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Lugang Science & Technology Co., Ltd., Marusho Hotta Co., Ltd., Miyama Co., Ltd., New Mill Spa, Ply Naturally Limited, Toyoboshi, and Zhejiang Wanxin Weishen Textile Technology Co., Ltd.

The final section, The Future of Fibre is Wool, is presented by The Woolmark Company. It highlights wool’s natural performance properties, the certification process, and ongoing innovations created in collaboration with Shima Seiki.

To encourage engagement, participants who complete a short questionnaire will be offered a free downloadable PDF version of the presentation materials used in the Mastering yarnbank session. This aims to help knit manufacturers further improve efficiency.
