Brescia based CoatYarn, reports continuing strong interest in its TPU Evolution coated yarn which is being used by leading brands in multiple applications, including protective garments, accessories, outerwear, sportswear and shoe uppers, bags, suitcases, and indoor and outdoor furniture.

CoatYarn is a coated yarn producer founded in 2019 as a sister company of Expotex, a technical textile distributor, which has been active in the textile field for over 30 years. “Our young and dynamic team takes pride in the research and development of innovative solutions, according to the latest market demands. We chose to use Italian and European providers, all already fully certified under the most stringent standards of their respective fields,” says Cristina Parimbelli, Sales and Marketing at CoatYarn.

At CoatYarn we care for the environment and try to make our products as sustainable as possible, in addition to always being on the lookout for new ways to reduce our ecological footprint

“TPU Evolution is our solvent-free, 100% Italian made yarn whose colouring process doesn’t require any water use. TPU Evolution can give life to countless applications, including knitted and protective garments, accessories, outerwear, sportswear and shoe uppers, technical industrial wear, bags, suitcases, indoor and outdoor furniture, and also finds different uses in the heavier industry and automotive sectors,” Ms Parimbelli explains.

Available in many versions and counts, TPU Evolution generates different results on the fabric processed, depending on the type of finishing:

-Real Manopesca has a peach hand feel, when pressed at 120°C -130°C for 30 seconds. The rubber feel becomes apparent, with the fabric always showing a very soft hand.

-Lamination, when pressed at 140°C - 150°C for 30 seconds. The finished product is remarkably rubbery to the touch and can be made water resistant, always maintaining its peculiar softness.

-Strong Lamination, when pressed at 160°C and over for 30 seconds. The finished product can be made waterproof.

After the finishing process, the easy-to-cut fabric guarantees the dimensional stability of the product, as well as optimum breathability before reaching the waterproof stage.

TPU Evolution is UV stable and is said to enhance colours. According to CoatYarn it is ‘sensationally soft’ to the touch, and shows excellent resistance to abrasion, hydrolysis, microbial attack, solvents, oils and fats. It is also thermally mouldable, one of the many reasons, CoatYarn says, why a single product can give life to spectacular and diversified effects applicable to the most varied sectors. Uniqueness and performance are a given with our yarn, the company adds.

TPU Evolution is solvent-free, OekoTex Standard 100 Class 1 certified and can be heated and melted over and over again in order to reach different stages of lamination. “The water free technology combined with the low energy impact makes TPU Evolution even more sustainable,” concludes Cristina.
