Steiger introduces economical, high-performance machine in Europe

Chinese owned Swiss flat knitting machine builder introduces STG 3.132 MC flat knitting machine.

Swiss flat knitting machines builder Steiger is coming to the aid of its European customers who are struggling to reduce costs and remain competitive in today’s difficult economic environment.

The Cixing owned Vionnaz headquartered company is introducing the Steiger STG 3.132 MC, an economical, high-performance machine that is made in its China factory, to enable customers to continue to knit quality garments in Europe.

“The STG 3.312 MC produced in our factory in China was intended for the local market. Today, we also offer it for sale in Europe. We adapt it to the specific needs of the European market in our Swiss factory,” Steiger says.

“This compact 130 cm machine, equipped with 16 motorised wire guides with sinker and Steiger take-down, is a great success that combines exceptional performance at a reasonable price.”

At this year’s ITMA 2023 in Milan, Steiger launched a brand new four needlebed computerised flat knitting machine for the production of complete garment knitwear. The company showed the Chinese built Steiger branded four needlebed latch needle KS3-60MC-II machine in 18 gauge for the first time at the world’s leading textile machinery event, which attracted over 1700 exhibitors and a huge 110,000 visitors.
