From 31 May to 2 June, MarediModa Miami will take place during the Cabana Show at the heart of Miami Swim Week, reaffirming its role as a strategic showcase for premium European fabrics. As global sourcing models are disrupted by geopolitical tensions, the event places European textile collections in a prime position as high-quality alternatives to Asian production.

“Despite the climate of extreme uncertainty affecting the entire global supply chain, we are renewing our commitment to the Miami mission,” said Claudio Taiana, President of MarediModa. “We are confident that our fabrics will be increasingly appreciated in light of recent changes. The United States has always been a historically and a key market for our companies, so investing in this event is crucial.”

Driven by heightened US tariffs on Asian imports and the rising demand for transparent sourcing, the companies exhibiting - primarily from Italy and Spain - are aiming to establish a more stable and ethical supply chain model. This strategic move also responds to recent viral campaigns by Chinese companies on social media, accusing global brands of unethical practices. These claims, while often lacking evidence, have sparked wider scrutiny of luxury goods production.

In turn, this wave of consumer awareness has created new urgency for transparency and accountability in manufacturing. By promoting Made in Europe products to the American market, the MarediModa exhibitors seek to align with shifting consumer values that prioritise quality, sustainability, and ethical production.
