Texhibition Istanbul, held from 10–12 September 2025 at the Istanbul Expo Center, closed its latest edition with significant growth in international participation and business activity. Organised by İTKİB Fuarcılık A.Ş. in collaboration with the Istanbul Textile Exporters Association (İTHİB), the fair hosted 524 exhibitors across five halls and attracted 24,148 visitors, including 7,021 international buyers from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, North Africa, North America and beyond. Compared with March 2025, total visitor numbers rose by 6.7%, with international attendance up by nearly 17%.

The fair once again highlighted Turkey’s role as the world’s fifth-largest textile exporter and a fast, flexible and sustainable sourcing hub for global fashion. Vice President of ITHIB and Chairman of the Fair Committee, Fatih Bilici, commented: “Texhibition Istanbul has strengthened its place in the global calendar by increasing international interest every year. It showcases the production power, sustainability vision, and innovative approach of the Turkish textile industry on the world stage.”

Exhibitors covered the full supply chain, from knitting, woven fabrics and denim to embroidery, lace, accessories and yarns. Companies praised both the diversity of international markets represented and the quality of business meetings. Toraman Textile stressed the importance of value-added products in turbulent times, while Kasar Dual Textile pointed to a dynamic atmosphere with buyers from Italy, the USA and Germany.

The Blue Black Denim showcase underlined Turkey’s status as the world’s third-largest producer of denim garments, with 24 leading brands including Bossa, İskur, Isko, Kipaş and Orta presenting sustainable innovations and new designs. Denim exports have grown strongly, with fabric exports surpassing USD 273 million in 2024 and denim clothing accounting for nearly USD 730 million in ready-to-wear exports.

Texhibition’s B2B programme facilitated around 100 meetings, drawing international players such as Hugo Boss, Burberry, Patagonia, Asos and Alexander Wang, alongside key buyers from Saudi Arabia, Spain, Colombia and North America. Exhibitors reported strong order activity and valuable new contacts.

Innovation was also in the spotlight. The Innovation Hub featured breakthrough developments such as Colourself Cotton, biodegradable pleats and vegan bioglitter, while the Trends Lab, curated by the Istanbul Moda Academy, explored four fashion themes blending sustainability, heritage and technology. The ReValue Stock Hub addressed textile surplus by turning leftover fabrics into new business opportunities.

The seminar programme added further depth, with WGSN presenting AW 2026 trend insights, alongside panels on biomaterials, AI, sustainability and digitalisation. The Blue Black Denim series offered dedicated sessions on denim culture, washing technologies and market dynamics, reinforcing the fair’s positioning as both a sourcing and knowledge platform.

Texhibition Istanbul 2025 confirmed its international importance as a business hub where markets, people and opportunities converge, demonstrating the innovative strength and competitiveness of Turkey’s textile industry.
