CHM10Italian packaging machinery manufacturer Tinarelli has introduced a new case-packer to its range of machines for the socks and hosiery sector. The company’s CHM10 is a completely new machine that will replace the current ORC machine.

The CHM10 is an automatic horizontal case packing machine which is able to stack and introduce various products into so called American style cases. Automatic feeding changes according to the type of product and on the feeding speed of the products to be packed, as well as on the final layout of the products in the case.

The machine also features a large capacity case magazine which does not take up external space as it is positioned on the top of the machine and can be fed whilst the machine is running. The case blank is picked up and transferred in a high speed process by a bi-axis movement controlled by servomotors.

Positive opening of the case is carried out by suction cups and case closure can be made by either adhesive tape or by hot-melt glue. Safety guards on the CHM10 are completely transparent in order to give the operator a clear internal view and easy access.

Tinarelli says that the CHM10 is an adjustable machine that can cover a large range of standard sizes and size change can be effected easily without tools.

“The CHM10 covers a big size range of cases and it is capable of packing up to 12 cases per minute, depending on the products to be packed. It is also a universal machine which can be used in any business sector,” says company director Elena Tinarelli. Tinarelli recently supplied an entire packaging line for cosmetics to the French perfume house Guerlain, which consisted of an HC180 cartoning machine and a CHM10 case packer (see image below).
