Leading Tunisian premium knitwear manufacturer Tunicotex Group has significantly improved its operational performance following the implementation of Coats Digital’s FastReactPlan solution. The company has increased its on-time delivery performance to 85%, reduced planning time by 25% and expanded overall production capacity by 40%.

With all critical planning and materials data now connected within a single visual platform, Tunicotex has improved visibility, collaboration and decision-making across its vertically integrated operations, supporting continued growth and improved customer service.

Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Soliman, Tunisia, Tunicotex Group is a major global supplier of high-quality premium knitwear, serving international luxury fashion brands. The company operates a comprehensive manufacturing set-up including flat knitting, sewing, washing, embroidery, ironing and finishing, producing approximately 4.8 million garments annually. Sustainability remains central to its strategy, with the majority of raw materials certified to recognised international standards and a strong focus on renewable energy investment.

Prior to adopting FastReactPlan, Tunicotex relied on Excel-based planning processes that limited real-time visibility and caused inefficiencies across departments. This led to planning conflicts, unbalanced production lines, unnecessary overtime, delayed shipments and increased costs. In response, the company sought a more integrated and reliable end-to-end planning solution.

FastReactPlan was implemented across all primary and secondary operations, creating a single source of truth for production planning. Since deployment, planning time has reduced from 40 hours per week to 30, penalty costs have fallen due to fewer delays, and cross-functional collaboration has improved through shared, real-time data. Enhanced visibility has also enabled the business to unlock additional capacity, allowing it to take on higher volumes and more diverse orders.

Tunicotex reports that improved planning stability has reduced overtime, strengthened its continuous improvement culture and boosted staff confidence, with teams now working to clearer targets and experiencing less operational disruption. The company has also benefited from improved flexibility to respond to customer changes and more efficient use of materials and inventory.

FastReactPlan forms part of Coats Digital’s Manufacturing Solution Suite and is designed to help apparel, textile and footwear manufacturers optimise delivery performance, efficiency and lead times through integrated, real-time planning.
