UNIFI, Inc., the makers of Repreve and a global leader in recycled and synthetic yarns, has reported results for its fourth fiscal quarter and year ended 29 June 2025.

Net sales for the quarter were $138.5 million, down 12% from the prior year period, with Repreve fibre products generating $42.1 million, or 30% of net sales. The company recorded a gross loss of $1.1 million, compared to a $10.8 million profit in the previous year’s quarter. However, net income rose to $15.5 million, supported by a $35.8 million gain on the sale of a manufacturing facility in Madison, North Carolina, which also allowed significant debt reduction.

Adjusted results showed a net loss of $10.6 million and Adjusted EBITDA of negative $4.1 million, compared to $5.9 million in the prior year. UNIFI noted ongoing restructuring charges tied to its U.S. manufacturing footprint reduction, expected to deliver annual cost savings of about $20 million.

Chief Executive Officer Eddie Ingle said the softer quarter was mainly caused by delayed orders as customers assessed the impact of tariffs. He added that customer demand remains strong and highlighted progress in streamlining operations, including the sale of the Madison site and the launch of Fortisyn, a new abrasion-resistant yarn for military and tactical gear.

Looking ahead, UNIFI expects sequential improvement in sales and Adjusted EBITDA in the first quarter of fiscal 2026, as cost savings begin to flow through. Ingle stressed that customer interest in sustainable textile solutions and circularity remains strong, with the company positioning itself for long-term profitability and growth.
