The View Premium Selection wrapped up successfully on 2 July 2025 in Munich, once again proving itself an important early meeting point for the European textile and fashion industry’s premium segment. Held in the Dampfdom at Motorworld Munich, the event attracted designers, buyers and fashion professionals from leading brands eager to discover trends and materials for Autumn/Winter 26/27.

Despite midsummer temperatures, the atmosphere at View was energetic and positive. Around 300 carefully curated collections from renowned international suppliers were presented, confirming the format’s role as a vital source of early trend insights and a place to strengthen business relationships. Florian Klinder, Managing Director of Munich Fabric Start, described the show as “a clear signal that the German fashion industry is noticeably on the upswing again,” pointing to the renewed spirit of optimism, collaboration and innovation visible throughout the halls.

Under the guiding theme “Right Here, Right Now”, exhibitors and visitors alike focused on the contemporary experience, seeking inspiration that captures today’s shifting zeitgeist. The motto reflects a desire for authenticity and presence in an industry navigating economic uncertainty, changing consumer expectations and sustainability imperatives.

Well-known premium brands in attendance included Akris, Baldessarini, Betty Barclay, Bogner, Burberry, Hugo Boss, Joop!, Marc Cain, Olymp, and many others. Divided into FABRICS, ADDITIONALS, DENIM and SPORTSWEAR, the fair offered a clear overview of new high-end textiles, trims and ingredients. Notable first-time exhibitors included Italian family firm Mapel SPA, Turkish denim specialist Ada Denim, Portuguese mill TMG Textiles, Germany’s Van Delden and Japan’s Soalon, which showcased its unique triacetate fibre.

Sustainability was a clear focus, with designers seeking innovative natural fibres, technical materials for outerwear and responsible solutions like biodegradable polyesters and bio-based blends. Suppliers noted strong interest in new wool qualities, high-performance textiles for puffer jackets, and luxury cottons with a sustainable edge. Laura Keller from Marc O’Polo summed up the mood: “Sustainability is the top priority in all areas.”

Participants praised the timing of View, which enables early trend validation and critical purchasing decisions ahead of the main Munich Fabric Start in September. The show’s accessible scale and inspiring atmosphere also encourage productive exchanges and the chance to forge new ideas for collections. For many, it remains an indispensable date in the buying calendar.

Preparations are already underway for Munich Fabric Start, which will run from 2–3 September 2025 at the MOC Munich, featuring the full spectrum of fabric segments alongside Bluezone, Keyhouse and The Source. The next View Premium Selection for Spring/Summer 27 is set for 2–3 December 2025.
