As the global knitting industry faces increasing material convergence, slower development cycles, and fragmented supply chains, Wellmax Textile has taken a different path - redefining materials not from the fabric stage but from the foundational logic of yarn engineering and structural design.

This forward-looking methodology is the Kirin System (KirinKnit): a structural materials platform rather than a single fabric, fibre, or construction. It enables a unified structural language that spans base layers, mid layers, outerwear, athleisure, men’s and women’s daily wear, work wear, and designer-level structured silhouettes.

ISPO Textrends recognition: A global endorsement of system-level innovation

In the latest ISPO Textrends Fall/Winter 2027/28 program, Wellmax Textile secured nine awards, including multiple Top 10 placements across categories such as Base Layer, Mid Layer, Outer Layer, and Street Sport. All recognised developments were engineered within the Kirin System (KirinKnit), demonstrating its ability to extend across performance-driven, lifestyle, and structural apparel applications while maintaining consistent material logic.

ISPO Textrends evaluates global textile submissions based on innovation, performance, material depth, functional advancement, and responsiveness to future market trends. The strong results achieved by KirinKnit reaffirm that it is not a single-fabric solution, but a next-generation material architecture aligned with the future direction of the textile and apparel industries.

Kirin Yarn: A third path between knits and wovens

At the core of the Kirin System is Kirin Yarn, a yarn-engineered approach designed to merge the pliability of knits with the stability of wovens. The resulting materials feature clean, controlled drape, balanced elasticity, and a refined low-gloss surface - characteristics that establish Kirin Yarn as a distinct third category of textile expression. This enables designers to achieve structural silhouettes with the comfort and flexibility of knitting, bridging the long-standing gap between knitwear and woven tailoring.

One system, full-collection capability

Traditional apparel development relies on numerous fabrics to achieve different category requirements, introducing inconsistency and complicating supply chains. KirinKnit transforms this process: One system can build an entire collection.

From next-to-skin layers and functional mid layers to athleisure, daily wear, work wear, and structured designer pieces, the Kirin System maintains unified structural performance and aesthetic identity.

Whether applied to single jerseys, double knits, Ponte Roma, spacer fabrics, or functional constructions, the system consistently delivers stable structure, clean drape, balanced stretch, and contemporary visual refinement.

This cohesion enables brands to build complete collections with fewer materials, clearer logic, and significantly improved development efficiency.

Brand advantages: A yarn-up ecosystem

Because the Kirin System originates at the yarn-engineering level, brands can design proprietary yarn formulas, build exclusive fabric families, unify visual identity, reduce unnecessary SKUs, and expand    their product lines with structural coherence. Rather than selecting from isolated fabrics, brands can strategically design their own material ecosystems, achieving clearer storytelling and greater long-term scalability.

Consumer advantages: Durability, stability, longevity

Kirin materials offer exceptional durability and appearance retention, including reduced deformation, improved snag resistance, minimized pilling, strong wash-wear stability, and extended garment lifespan. This results in products that stay refined, functional, and wearable far longer - supporting more responsible consumption and lowering environmental impact.

Supply-chain and circular value

By consolidating multiple fabric needs into a single system, KirinKnit reduces fabric redundancy, excessive yarn SKUs, procurement complexity, and the risk of over production and deadstock. From yarn → structure → fabric → garment → lifespan, the system delivers a “less but better, long-life” sustainability model aligned with the apparel industry’s future direction.

The Wellmax Textile vision

Yarn is language.

Fabric is structure.

Garments are expression.

Kirin System (KirinKnit) is not a fabric - it is a future-oriented materials platform enabling brands to elevate performance, unify aesthetic identity, streamline development, and reduce waste. It represents the beginning of a new era where knitted materials are not only soft, but structural, durable, aesthetic, and system driven.
