Messe Frankfurt has announced the winners of this year’s Techtextil and Texprocess Innovation Awards ahead of the jointly-held shows taking place in Frankfurt from April 23-26.

A total of 15 winners in eight categories will receive their awards at a special ceremony to be held at 12.30pm on the first day of the exhibitions, in the Hall 9 Forum at Messe Frankfurt.

The award-winning innovations clearly illustrate how textile solutions are driving future developments in a range of industries such as aerospace, automotive, medicine and construction.

Specific subjects they address include mitigating temperature increases in cities, recycling composite plane components, enhancing construction projects and fighting infection.

A full list of the winners can be viewed here.

“Innovations in the textile industry enable completely new solutions for innumerable applications and new materials, processes and products are boosting the future of many sectors,” says Sabine Scharrer, director of brand management for technical textiles and textile processing at Messe Frankfurt. “What was inconceivable yesterday is possible today thanks to smart minds in the textile industry. Accordingly, we are really pleased to honour the best ideas with the Techtextil and Texprocess Innovation Awards.”

The award-winning exhibits will be displayed in Hall 9.1 at the show and guided tours to the stands of the winners of the Texprocess Innovation Awards will be offered by members of the jury on April 23rd and 24th.
