Åženol Åžankaya, CEO of Turkish knit apparel manufacturer YeÅŸim Tekstil, is to represent the Turkish apparel and ready-to-wear industry in the International Apparel Federation (IAF), one of the world’s largest federations.

Mr Åžankaya will assume his new position when he represents Turkey’s apparel industry at the 26th International Apparel Federation meeting, which is to be held from 5-7 October in Hong Kong.

After former chairmen Hasan Arat and Umut Oran, Åžankaya will be the 3rd Turkish industrialist to represent Turkey on the management board of the IAF, one of the world’s largest federations established in 1976 by a group of American, European and Japanese apparel industrialists.

Åžankaya already holds the positions of Coordinating Chairman of UludaÄŸ Exporters’ Unions (UÄ°B) and Chairman of UÄ°B Apparel and Ready Wear Exporters’ Union. He will deliver a speech at the 26th meeting of the International Apparel Federation which will outline YeÅŸim Tekstil’s efforts in the fields of production, innovation and social responsibility and will share the Turkish vision of the apparel industry as viewed by YeÅŸim Tekstil with participants from different countries.
