Glenbrae, the leading knitwear manufacturer, is celebrating a successful long term relationship with a UK logistics specialist Bidvest by creating an entirely bespoke product line for the company. This news follows Glenbrae`s recent announcement of its intentions to diversify into corporate-wear, in addition to their core golf sector.

With the relationship already spanning three years, Glenbrae have now produced a bespoke hand-crested garment for Bidvest, which will be presented to invited guests as part of their own special corporate day.

The style was developed following a visit from the Bidvest team to Glenbrae’s Spa Mill, whereby both businesses discussed how bespoke corporate wear could be created, unique to the Bidvest brand and highlights the level of individuality that can be applied to contracts.

Extensive range

Over the years, Bidvest has worked closely with Glenbrae’s rich heritage and quality, and utilised various styles and colours from across the extensive range for its corporate gifting needs. With Bidvest continuing to place significant corporate orders for varying combinations of garments, the partnership remains a valuable association to the Glenbrae name, the company reports.

“We really respect the Glenbrae name along with its rich heritage,” said Richard Ranby, director at Bidvest Logistics. “They have provided us with exceptional knitwear for the past three years, keeping our gifts fresh and exciting, whilst always keeping their trademark high quality finish. We are happy to be continuing the partnership and are extremely impressed with the level of bespoke and quality service Glenbrae are able to offer.”

Positive relationship

Glenbrae supplies high quality, hand-finished knitwear and polo shirts for Bidvest’s corporate days, allowing them to provide unique gifts for their guests and customers.

“We are very pleased to have built on this positive relationship with such a large and well-respected business.  The opportunity to expand our knitwear range to suit a corporate audience has been an exciting challenge for Glenbrae, and we look forward to continuing this successful relationship well into the future,” commented Richard Brown, owner of Glenbrae.

Glenbrae

The Glenbrae brand has its roots in the renowned textile trade of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, once the textile capital of the world. The Glenbrae spinning mill in Slaithwaite is known for producing the fine British knitwear, using a combination of the advanced machinery and generations of expertise, to produce exceptional hand-finished garments.

It is worn by some of the UK’s best-known sports stars, such as golfer, Mark James, and the brand is the official knitwear partner of Scottish Rugby. The business has a range of corporate customers, which include Maybach and Porsche.

Unique process

The yarn is spun by a unique process called Spirol, which means that the knitwear moves as the wearer moves, yet retains its shape and quality, wash after wash, wear after wear.

Spirol also means that garments are said to retain their softness, resist pilling and creasing and are machine washable. Glenbrae Plus involves cresting, colour and detailing of garments, utilising the advanced 3D embroidery process.
