Monforts has presented the company’s new energy saving, Eco-Applicator soft coating process for the application of liquors and functional chemicals for knitted fabric applications, at the ITME India trade fair, which concluded in Mumbai last week.
Monforts, a leading textile machinery manufacturer, exhibited its latest developments for finishing under low moisture application with Eco Applicator; advanced concepts for continuous dying with Econtrol T-CA process jointly developed with DyStar; and new solutions for energy saving finishing of denim fabrics with the new ECO Denim stretching unit; as well as the double rubber twin compressive shrinking unit.
The company also highlighted new solutions for energy saving and heat recovery with the integrated Eco Booster self-cleaning heat recovery unit and a non-stop processing conditions. Monforts technologists were on hand to provide detailed advice at the exhibition.
The energy saving, Eco-Applicator soft coating process from Monforts for the application of liquors and functional chemicals is now available for knitted fabric applications. Guidance for the knitted fabric has been specifically adapted to the needs of delicate knit treatment to eliminate ‘curling’ of the fabric edges, the company reports.
The Eco-Applicator is said to offer significant energy savings with reduced liquor application. The multi-functional and multi-purpose process is designed to ensure the lowest energy input for consecutive drying to its minimal liquor application.
It has been developed to apply a liquor to one side of the fabric; to both sides of the fabric; a different liquor to either side of the fabric; or to apply two different liquors consecutively to a single side of the fabric. According to the manufacturer, Eco-Applicator is suitable for a wide range of fabric applications and effect finishing – particularly for denim.
