The History of M&S Lingerie ...and other tales

21 January 2015, London, United Kingdom

The Textile Institute London and South East England Section presents The Roy Godden Lecture on The History of M&S Lingerie ...and other tales, which is set to take place on 21 January 2015 and will welcome guest speakers Soozie Jenkinson, Head of Lingerie Design and Product Direction, and Paschal Little, Head of M&S Lingerie and Beauty Innovation and Quality.

After graduating from a Fashion Design Degree at Kingston University, Soozie worked as a Fashion Designer for a number of retail brands, joining M&S to design Lingerie and Sleepwear. Soozie was appointed Head of Lingerie Design & Product Direction in 1998 and has played a key role in helping M&S to maintain its position as lingerie market leader. In an increasingly fast paced, international retail environment, identifying new ideas, trends and interpreting these to anticipate and meet customer’s needs is paramount.

Soozie also works closely with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on the exclusive Rosie for Autograph lingerie collaboration which has over three years become one of M&S’ most successful lingerie collections.

Paschal Little is responsible for the technical research and product development of bras, knickers, sleepwear, hosiery and beauty. Paschal trained originally as a Technical Designer in Textiles and worked for many years in the fabric industry before joining M&S. Today, Paschal heads up a team of technical experts, dedicated to researching and delivering innovative, quality lingerie and beauty products the M&S customers will love.

On behalf of M&S Paschal has managed the delivery of key Plan A projects including the award winning model Eco factories in Sri Lanka and China, and the development of the world’s first carbon neutral lingerie collection. Paschal also represents M&S on the board of the Association of suppliers to the British Clothing Industry (ASBCI).
