Südwolle Group, the well-known spinner, recognized for innovation and the production of wool and wool blend worsted yarns, has announced the launch of its new digital, collaboration, and trends and technologies platform. The forum, entitled Südwebs Innovation Hub, has been developed to inspire customers with ready-made garments and was launched yesterday, 17 February 2022.

“What is the best way to test a new yarn? To wear it! Based on this simple principle, Südwolle Group has designed a digital platform where B2B clients can buy stylish garments and accessories that are constructed with Südwolle Group’s innovative yarns. The platform will regularly present key innovations with story-telling, detailed explanation of the benefits for the user and the possibility to experience our products in real conditions,” commented Stéphane Thouvay, Managing Director, Product Management & Innovation, Südwolle Group.

Staying true to the slogan ‘Discover our innovations. Wear it. Test it’, Südwolle Group is targeting designers, purchase managers, and production managers who are working for brands, product developers or garment manufacturers, knitters or weavers.

“Our aim is not to become an online retailer of garments but to inspire our clients with our diverse capabilities and innovations through ready finished products,” adds Thouvay.

The first innovation promoted on the platform is a Merino sports garment for men and women knitted with Südwolle Group’s Omega Twist (OTW) – a new spinning technology that improves strength, elongation, pilling and abrasion resistance in worsted wool yarns.

The women’s shirt is constructed with OTW Gooseberry Nm 120/2 yarn, composed of 55% COOLMAX EcoMade and 45% Merino Wool. The Men’s Thermal Jacket is made from OTW Bayview Nm 144/2 – a yarn consisting of 100% biodegradable Merino wool.
