Technical Textiles

Orange Zero Ltd, publisher of KnittingIndustry.com,  has launched a new free to use website for the technical textiles and nonwovens sectors, called Innovation in Textiles.

Innovation in Textiles, which can be viewed at www.innovationintextiles.com, is an online news and technical resource covering automotive, industrial, eco, smart, aerospace, protective, medical and composite textiles and nonwovens as well as performance apparel, fibres & yarns, machinery & equipment, new patents and bonding, coating, laminating and converting. The site also reports daily news on industry exhibitions and conferences.

Innovation in Textiles is to develop into a leading online ‘one stop’ news and technical resource and will be marketed globally to key decision makers in the technical textiles, nonwovens and other industries. Innovation in Textiles’ readers will be designers, product developers and manufacturers of fibres, yarns, fabrics, machinery and equipment, as well as specifiers of technical textiles from a range of industries including construction, healthcare, transport, aerospace, agriculture, sportswear and equipment, packaging, personal protective equipment and defence.

Innovation in Textiles, which is to focus on innovation and new technologies, is free to use for visitors. Editor, Billy Hunter says: “Our aim is to create a single online space where those involved in the technical textiles and nonwovens industries can interact and easily find ‘must have’ information on their industry.”  Hunter adds: “We want to make it easy for users and therefore Innovation in Textiles is free to use and there is no need to log in each time you use the site. Just as importantly, we report news as it unfolds, making a daily visit to the site essential for the industry.”

Another factor which makes Innovation in Textiles stand out from the crowd is that it is published and written by textiles industry professionals. Billy Hunter, Editor of Innovation in Textiles and founder of Orange Zero Ltd, has 35 years of experience in textile manufacturing, nonwovens, textile machinery, research and development and textiles journalism. Innovation in Textiles will also be supported by a panel of industrial and academic experts who will provide comment and analysis in features and articles on the latest industry innovations and issues.

As well as being updated daily, Innovation in Textiles will also deliver regular news to user’s inboxes via its regular e-newsletter. “Again it’s about making it easy for the user. We package the most important industry news and deliver it directly to the user.” Hunter says.
